Hi, I’m Blythe Wagner, a certified personal trainer, busy mom, and head coach at Cut The Fat! I focus on making the science of metabolism and fat loss practical and actionable!  

In working with thousands of men and women I have learned that every weight loss struggle is very different and requires a different plan forward. That’s why we say, “There’s only one true weight loss formula, AND…it’s different for everyone.”

Hi, I’m Dr. Ray Hinish, a nutritional and integrative medicine pharmacist, husband, and father of three. In essence I use food, supplements, and lifestyle as medicine against premature aging and metabolic dysfunction. 

What I’ve learned in my 20+ years of clinical practice is that we are all as different on the inside as we are on the outside. Although every effective weight loss program will have a similar structure (i.e. a diet, exercise plan, activity level, and lifestyle strategy) the magic is in the minutia. It’s small tweaks that make big differences in body transformation for you as an individual. 

  • We believe that there is a solution to every weight problem. If you aren't burning fat, it's for one of two reasons, either your program sucks or your followthrough sucks.
  • Waking up, clinching your fists, and white-knuckling your way through your day is a recipe for fat loss failure. We, as humans, cannot rely on willpower to shift our lifestyle.
  • We believe calories do matter, but trying to micromanage calories is like swimming upstream, it can be done, but it's exhausting and most people don't make it. You must change habits and hormones to succeed. Then the brain and body work for rather than against your goals.
  • Even though eating too much and moving too little can cause weight gain, there are also "calorie-free" causes to weight gain, i.e. poor sleep, lots of stress, dehydration, etc.
  • We believe that perfection is the LOWEST standard one can hold oneself to, NOT the highest standard because it's impossible to achieve.
  • We believe your life should not be spent on a treadmill or in the kitchen. You can achieve big changes with minimal time commitment provided you focus on the right strategies!
  • Stop waiting to achieve a weight loss goal before you enjoy confidence, start with cultivating confidence and let your body catch up. You're awesome, we promise.

Cut the Fat was started in 2009 out of a shared passion for fitness and fat loss. Together, we are constantly studying and applying the latest science as we work towards helping you discover YOUR individualized “Formula for Fat Loss”.

There is no single formula for fat loss.

Nope, as sad as it may sound, there are literally thousands of formulas…if not millions of formulas, and the only way to find yours is by conducting your own study of “1”…i.e. YOU!

Our goal is to provide you with the laboratory full of the ingredients and nudge you in the direction of the ingredients that are most likely to provide benefit. Then we want you to follow our proprietary formula called the CATAA formula, which will help you test and discover your own Fat Loss Formula!
